Great turnout for Conquering Procrastination.

We had a great group on the TeleSeminar about Conquering Procrastination. I really appreciated all of you for being there on the call. As I was ending the call, one brave person raised her hand. I started the recording and we did 12 minutes talking about fear and panic. I’ll put that call up on the website shortly. It was really interesting. After doing the rating of her anxiety and then doing the first stress relief exercise given on the call, she found her level went down. Wait till you hear about her struggle even to recognize that she had a shift. I’ve since talked to this interesting woman and she took my advice and downloaded a great book to read on her computer.

In the next few posts I’ll be talking about the upcoming 4 modules TeleSeminar. After seeing the questions that came in after the call, I’ve decided to gear the home study course to fear, panic and anxiety, with one full session devoted to relief of procrastination and how to set “no fail” goals. .

The post for tomorrow will be on why people procrastinate, and tips on finding the underlying issues behind it.

When they first start working with me, over 60% of my clients reveal that they believe procrastination means that they are inherently lazy or unproductive. Yet, when we start talking about how they live, we find that these same people are able to juggle many of life’s challenges with ease. The people who find their way to my office or seminars are usually high achievers, and in many cases very successful in their careers and life. So procrastination has nothing to do with being inept, lazy or apathetic.

It is actually just the opposite. For most people procrastination is caused by FEAR. Fear can come from early childhood experiences, and the beliefs a child forms because of them. It is a pity that so many talented, intelligent people secretly carry around fear at the deepest level of their unconscious mind.

Fortunately, there are many ways we can lift these unconscious fears, and free you to work through your inner blocks, and become the person you really want to be.

If you’d like to find out how, please join me the Teleseminar on January 28, 2010.  Once you sign up using the box on the right, you can even submit questions you’d like answered during the Teleseminar.

Spots are limited, so please sign up now.

I look forward to sharing these techniques with you.

Sincerely,

Audrey Sussman

Trance state happens everyday

Hypnosis and Trance, Stress Relief Solutions, techniques for Stress Relief Comments Off

Many clients are concerned  about whether or not they can be hypnotized. Begin to deal with this fear by  explaining that trance occurs naturally. We all experience trance  many times in our lives, whether we were consciously aware of it or not. There are many common day experiences where we are in an altered (or trance).

Here are some simple examples of a trance state: Have you ever been at the movies and became so engrossed, it’s felt like you were transported right into the action?  Have you ever felt your heart beating faster even though you were safely in your seat, because something scary was about to happen on the screen?   Or think about the last really engrossing book you read, or perhaps you were listening to music or even daydreaming and your mind seemed to go somewhere else, that is also a naturally occurring trance state. The difference in a therapeutically created state is that it is used to help to get to the root of where limiting beliefs and negative thinking starts.

You can learn the skills of self-hypnosis to create a calm, balanced stated of mind.  Self-hypnosis can help you to let go of stress in just moments.  Once you know the skills you can do this on your own.  It is also a gift for yourself to have a skilled hypnotherapist guide you so you can release “old junk” at the root.

A Tip for going into trance easily – Know your lead system(3a)

Home Study Course, Seminar, Stress Relief Solutions, Teleseminars Comments Off

(continued from this morning’s post ( 3 )

Remember that each of us processes information in a different way. The 3 types of processing are visual, auditory and kinesthetic.   To find out your “lead system” do this simple exercise.  Imagine an apple.  Do this before reading the rest of the instructions. Now that you’ve thought of an apple.  Here is how you know what your lead or preferred system of processing is.

If you are “talking to yourself” about what type of apple you are supposed to be thinking about, you just might be an auditory, because you are hearing yourself speak about the apple in your head.  An auditory person might be thinking about the crunching sound as a bite is taken.

If you see a red or green apple in your mind’s eye, or if you can say if it is a large or small apple, then you are probably a visual.  Because you are seeing it “in your mind’s eye”.

For a person who is kinesthetic you might tell me that it’s a cold apple, or that its a large heavy own.   If you can imagine feeling the coolness before you even see it i”n your mind’s eye”, chances are you might process information in a kinesthetic. (feeling) way.

For a hypnotherapist knowing the lead system is important in helping a client easily to go into trance.  You would want to use words that follow the preferred system.  As a hypnotherapist we help people to learn to purposefully use all three Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic.  When you include all three in your work  you get a very powerful way of creating change.  Also if you know about these three type of ways of processing you can use it to create rapport in an instant.  But that is a whole other seminar.

Why use hypnosis?

Exercises and Tips, Hypnosis and Trance, Stress Relief Solutions, techniques for Stress Relief, Teleseminars 1 Comment »

Why use hypnosis ?

Hypnosis opens the doorway so you can instantly tap into inner strengths. It can be used to get to the root of where reactions and limits come from.

When two types of hypnosis are combined (Ericksonian and Classical) you can feel changes happening almost instantaneously.  And the Transformation System developed at the Anxiety Control Center combines both types of Hypnosis with Neuro-Lingustic Programming and  Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy making it the most life changing system.  After using this combination approach you can actually feel your reactions to situations that used to cause stress, anger, procrastination, fear or grief changing in real life situations.

Excerpt from teleseminar…. Of course, the question remains “how do I know if hypnosis is right for me?  And what do I do if it isn’t?”  What many people ask is “Can I be hypnotized?” This is usually followed with the statement “I’m a very logical, scientific, kind of person, and I’m strong willed, so I don’t think it will work for me.”  The truth is that almost everyone can be hypnotized. Actually in over 25 years of practice I have found that the people with either high intelligence or creativity are the best hypnotic “subjects.”  And if you are both intelligent and creative you will delight yourself at how quickly you can make self-hypnosis work for you.   One of the reasons people who come to our seminars find it so easy to use the Transformation System techniques is that we know how to ask the questions that quickly help you to tap into you own powerful unconscious.  And there are many of techniques that can be utilized, that’s what we do, in both our seminars and with private consultations we help you to find just the right technique that will work best for you.    When you come to our teleseminar, your job is simply to be curious, have an open mind and want to overcome what ever challenge you are dealing with.  We have the techniques and skills that you can put to use right away in your daily life.

If you still are not comfortable with hypnosis, DON’T WORRY.  You can still overcome challenges using other techniques though it might take you a bit more time to get the results.  But if you don’t start today, nothing will change.  So no matter if you are a person who wants to access the resources of your unconscious today, or someone who is more tentative and wants skills without using hypnotic techniques, take the first step and ask us a question so we can evaluate you as an individual and help you to make educated choices. Click here to ask a question of our staff.

Once again, if you are suffering from anxiety and fear.  If you have sadness or grief that just won’t go away, or if you procrastinate, help is available.  Hypnosis is just one of many ways that you can find the answers to living a fuller and more complete life.  Don’t delay one more second.  If you are suffering, send a question or ask for a free consultation by clicking here.

You have nothing to lose and a better life to gain.

Two steps to change negative thinking

handouts, Stress Relief Solutions, techniques for Stress Relief Comments Off

Whenever you find yourself stuck or indecisive, and your are beating yourself for procrastination, use these two tips to break the cycle of negativity.

I was working with a client the other day and she told me that she was so anxious that she couldn’t even make a decision on what food to eat.

She was running a real negative conversation in her head about how she wasn’t able to make decisions. I asked her to change her words from “I can’t” make a decision to “I choose not to make a decision on what food I want to eat. She said that felt uncomfortable saying it that way. And I’m sure it did feel uncomfortable saying she was choosing not to make a decision. The positive about saying “I choose” is that it puts a person at “cause”.

The second step after being at “cause” is to say to yourself, “That’s curious, that I’m choosing not to make a decision. I wonder what that’s about?” When my client asked herself this question, it amazed us both when she got her answer: The reason she wasn’t making a decision on what to eat was that she really wasn’t hungry, she was bored. After getting that information she can now see that it wasn’t that she was stuck and not able to make a decision about food, it was that she needed to find something else to do so she would feel productive.

For example. . .
